I’d like to create sub-pages as needed for specific podcasts.

I’m speculating that this option is disabled for the podcast content type.

My concern is that if I modify the page type to allow this, the next update will undo this.

What suggestions would you have to a) make the change and b) keep the change from being undone?

Hi @jcchapster the podcast post type is set hierarchical to false by default within SSP, so you could just hook into the ssp_register_post_type_args and change that. Similarly, if you’d like to use another Custom Post Type (using something like the Custom Post Type UI plugin) this can be set on a different post type from the Podcast CPT that SSP creates.

Hope that helps, and if there’s anything else we can do just let us know.

    Thank you Craig.

Using the hook will be the simplest, I think. I have 20+ episodes, and although it isn’t difficult to change one page type to another, I just don’t want to experience any unforeseen issues.

It is kinda odd to me that you have it set to false….

    Thanks again – JohnC

Pleasure to help, and again our apologies for the delay in getting back to you on this.

I’ll mark this as Resolved now, but if you need anything else just let us know.
