# Creating Groups

 * When I tried to create just the group I had to also enter in an email address.
   I just used [test@test.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/creating-groups/test@test.com?output_format=md)
   but are we suppose to be able to create new groups without having to first associate
   it with an email address?
 * Just want to make sure iv set things up correctly.
 * Iv set the widget “group” field to be the same name as the group name I just 
   set up in the list. I believe this means any email sign ups will become set to
   the group only.

 * No. To create a new group, you should have atleast one subscriber in it.
