Hi there, just downloaded and testing out your forums plugin and when I create a new forum it always seems to create a duplicate version of the forum that I have to delete afterwards (this happens every time).

Is the action to create a new forum firing twice? I can’t seem to figure this out. I have it installed in my local Ubuntu environment using wp multisite.

    Hello @rarcher30

No, it is not firing twice. Are you using any other WordPress plugins who maybe changing the administration area behavior/style and could be responsible for this? Can you try to disable those plugins one by one for testing purposes?

Perhaps but I’m working on a multisite with STRONG dependencies. I just tried doing this on my dev server and I turned off ACF – HUUUUUGE MISTAKE. Now not even WP CLI can help me. I think I have to nuke the db and import it again to fix that mistake. We’ve customised the theme to allow for all kinds of custom post types to be created and pull back data from other systems. However, I can’t see how another plugin could be affecting your plugin and making it create duplicate forums.

Are there any particular hooks/filters that I can use when new forums are being created? I’m about to setup a clean WPMU install (without plugins) and try to replicate the issue.

Just tested it on a clean install. Appears my customised theme seems to be the issue to blame. Will need to disable/enable features on it one by one to find out what the issue is – what fun!
