Support » Fixing WordPress » Creating custom user profiles using form builder?

  • I am relatively new to WordPress and I have hit a roadblock. I am trying to create a music website where users can sign up and get their own artist page, this page will be a custom post type defined by the template that I am using. This way I can take advantage of the search and rating facility the template offers.

What I want is the user, once signed up to complete a form, and the results of this form to be transferred automatically to a new post.

So far I have managed to get the title and featured image to work along with the creation of a new post. However for the main content I want the use some of the templates shortcodes to style the page into separate areas where different information is stored. this is where I am stuck.

How do I get different form fields to be displayed in different parts of the same post without it being one chunk of text? I have tried with Gravity forms and Formidable Pro and haven’t had much success, mainly, I think due to my lack of coding knowledge?

    Thanks in advance
