I am in the process of creating a site for a client. Due to the theme not allowing me to create the blue call to action bar above the footer easily (on the site above), i had to add the code snippet at the end of the content blocks on every single page, which is not ideal, but it work. Anyways, i cannot do this on the single.php and archive.php pages as these are driven by the posts function. I have opted to create child versions of both these pages, which can be seen under the NEWS link and then also a single news item. It works ok-ish, but the background banners for the header isn’t pulling through. I have not don this yet for the footer.

What i have done via the file system was create the 2 page templates in the child directory and copied the code from both relevant pages from the main theme. Now i get that references like get_header and do_action( ‘xxxx_before_content’ ); etc will be the issue as i’m referencing to a location not within the child directory. How can i fix this and get the images to pull through as they should?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
