Creating Complex WordPress posts? Text w/ Background Images (4 posts)

Here's an example of a very complex wordpress post: http://www.quicksprout.com/case-study-timothy-sykes/

Well, complex in the sense that it has text in front of a background image, but it's a free-floating text box and also image. How do you do this? Do you guys use weblog clients instead of the WordPress post editor?

Side note, but this is what makes the Wix platform so popular. Because you can literally drag and drop text on top of images anywhere on the page without any knowledge of coding.

CSS - the text boxes on top of other element are using absolute positioning.

Nope, hand code CSS - it's actually a lot of fun for some people :)!

Firebug is your best friend for CSS work.

You make the website look fancy through CSS first.

Wow!?! Hand coded CSS. Couldn't a weblog client fix that? Or how about this WordPress drag and drop HTML Visual Editor plugin?
