• Hi All, I am very new to wordpress but I am trying to create more of a website with blog facility.
I would like to create client pages with a personal password for each.

Basically on arrival to the site they would see on the menu a button ‘client’ on selecting it they would then be taken to the new page in which I would like to create a client list ‘names’ on selecting their name they would then be asked for their password which would then take them to their personal page.

The reason for this is I provide personal programs for training and would like to do this online

The question I have is can this be done using wordpress?

Thank you all so much. Chris

  • You can create users within the wordpress native functionality that have certain capabilities such as read posts, write posts. edit posts, etc.

This way you just direct them to the login page rather than listing all your members (which your members might not want publicly listed anyway).

Once the user is logged in, you have private pages that were for all logged in users or create pages specific for each user, etc. The possibilites are endless really.

You may want to look at some membership plugins.

You can also use plugins that customize the login page to match your branding.

    Best of luck.

Thank you so much – will have a go and fingers crossed succeed : )

    No problem. Best of luck!

    bodirok,
Did you ever get it to work? Is your site up and running? I would love to check it out if you don’t mind. I am looking to basically do the same thing. I write workouts for people and wanted to create a website they could log in to, view their personalized workout calendar/schedule, as well as keep a log of their workouts on the calendar.
    Thanks!
