First off, I’m completely new to creating child themes – the one I’m trying to create now is my very first attempt. So go easy on me! I’ve read the Codex Child Themes instructions on WP.org, and I’ve watched a couple of YouTube videos, but am still a little unsure (it’s always the filing that confuses me!)
I’m using a WPZoom theme – ‘Manifesto’.
In my public files, under themes, I have a new ‘Manifesto-child’ folder, and in this I have copied a duplicate style.css file and put the required info at the top.
When I go back to the themes page in WP, Manifesto is working fine, but I get the following message:
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
Manifesto Child The parent theme is missing. Please install the “Manifesto by WPZoom” parent theme.
I know this is probably pretty basic stuff, but as a first timer I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong! All advice gratefully received.
Thanks so much!
