Creating child pages that are password protected AND don't appear in a menu

  • I have quite a few documents that are all related and I created a child page for each document. I also created a page with an itemized list of the related child pages to act as an index. This parent page is retrieved from a link on the nav bar.

I want users to use the parent page (itemized list) to get to the child page they want. I don’t want the child pages to be displayed in a menu – too messy, too long. However the documents also must be password-protected. I see how to password-protect them using Visibility. But I don’t see how to hide the whole laundry list of documents/ child pages! I thought I could make them Private but I can only select passworded or private. Any other suggestions?
    I am using Twenty Eleven.

The section I am concerned about is Bylaws. The list document is clickable from the link Bylaws.
Would a different theme work better for my site?
Thanks. I am new to this!
