    Hi
I am using this plugin to create campaigns to raise money for a non profit. there is a marathon and people are going to do 2 things – 1 raise money for the team in general and another to raise money for specific runners. In order to help sponsor specific runners, I want to use this plugin. I am testing it out and trying to create sample causes.

when I set up the cause I go to the page and the pop up box shows to create the campaign, but when I put in my url and info it just says “checking validity” but nothing happens. no confirmation, no further forms, no sign up….

    what am I doing wrong?

also, why does not the funding goal match the default goal I use when setting up the cause

It looks like you are using WordPress 3.5. Unfortunately there is currently an incompatibility between the Personal Fundraiser plugin and WordPress 3.5. I hope to address this sometime soon, but right now the plugin will not work properly in WordPress 3.5

oy, I had a feeling you were going to say that. ok, so I will downgrade to 3.4

    then everything should work?

When I do a test and set up the cause, go in and add a campaign to it, after publishing it in the admin I get the confirmation email that its been set up but I have 2 questions –

    1. what does that login information give me access to? it only lets me log into the wordpress and show me the dashboard but no other information. do I need to change a setting? is that the email I will receive letting me know my campaign is active?

    2. when I create the campaign, it gives me a temp address to see the campaign online but the real url is not active.

When you use the plugin to allow users to create logins (eg the Allow Users To Register checkbox is checked in the Personal Fundraiser plugin settings), users are assigned an account on your site. These accounts by default really don’t have any permission to do anything other than edit their campaigns that they create. If you have have a campaign with a “temp” address, then that campaign is considered a draft campaign until you login or register. If you are logged in, then that campaign will move to either a pending status (if the Campaigns Require Approval setting is checked), meaning it has to be approved by an administrator on your site or the campaign will move to a published status (and therefore publicly viewable) if the Campaigns Require Approval setting is not checked.

Thanks, I see what you mean.

this is a great plugin, and equally great support.
