 * I’ve taken over as webmaster for a nonprofit site and am in the process of changing
hosts and transferring the domain to Hostinger.
 * Yesterday, I updated the nameservers and lost the whole site, panicked, and then
eventually pointed back to the old name servers and the site is back. I now am
trying to be more careful to create a backup so that we can do a more thoughtful
migration of the site to Hostinger.
 * In trying to do Backup Migration of the site, I got this debugging code: BMI-
   0ShMbz7E-64764
 * Any suggestions on what I should do next to make sure I have a good backup that
can be migrated to the new host would be appreciated. Keep in mind, I’m just
a volunteer and not super technical.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fcreating-backup-failed%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hello [@wilmingtonhgc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wilmingtonhgc/) ,
 * Your debug code, tells me that the backup was cancelled by Apache Web Server.

It was most likely caused by KeepAliveTimeout directive in Apache configuration.
 * We have alternate backup method, that can bypass this limitation.
   Simply, follow
below steps, there are also other things you can improve.
 * Please open first section of the plugin named: “What will be backed up?”
   Find
subsection named: “Exclude by folder / file name (case-sensitive)”Here add these
three rules, like on image: [https://prnt.sc/9oftADPd_Z7e](https://prnt.sc/9oftADPd_Z7e)
 * Once you do that, please follow these steps:
    1. Go to “Other options” section
    2. Change backup method: [https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa](https://prnt.sc/1s1ofpa)
    3. Disable PHP CLI checking: [https://prnt.sc/1sljr31](https://prnt.sc/1sljr31)
    4. Save “Other options” section
    5. Force stop both processes: [https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm](https://prnt.sc/1trv1tm)
 * When you do that, try to run your backup once again.
 * Let me know if that worked for you 🙂
   Thank you!
