  • I’ve currently got a review section of my website which contains some sub-pages. It’s going to have quite a few of them so I was wondering if it is possible to create an RSS feed with the latest 10 entries?

Also, is it possible to integrate the pages and category/news feeds into one single feed? I just want the RSS script/plugin to pick out the latest 10 entries (Pages & Category/News).

    Thanks 🙂

It’s already there, it’s just a matter of putting the URL somewhere.

Now, that doesn’t separate the posts out into separate entries or anything. This is because pages are one post, basically. You’d have to have each of those reviews as a separate post to make them separate in the feed for the page.

You could do this by making a reviews category, hiding it from the main blog page, then putting a loop in a special template for the reviews page. This would let your reviews page auto update, make feeds work, and so forth… It’s not a minor change to your existing stuff though.

Generally you use Pages for content you don’t update a lot or want feeds of. They’re more “static”, basically. For stuff that you add to often, you use categories and posts. But you can make them *look* like pages, even when they aren’t.

Thanks for the solution. This is just temporary.

I should be coding a new theme and I’ll impliment your idea. Thanks 🙂
