Support » Fixing WordPress » Creating an e-mail hyperlink

  • I have just completed my first site. Everything looks fine so far but I’m having problems setting up my e-mail address as a hyperlink. It’s a proper link in Chrome that does send a message to me when clicked but in other browsers my e-mail address on my pages appears as normal text that can not be clicked. How do I make my e-mail address clickable in all browsers? Thank you. Barney

  • Here’s the solution I found to solve my own problem:

    1. Select the e-mail address.
    2. Click the Insert/edit link button in the toolbar.
    3. In the URL box, type mailto:youraddress@xxx.com
    4. In the Title box, type what you want to appear when users hover over the link such as “Send e-mail to myaddress@xxx.com
    5. Click “Add Link”.
