Support » Fixing WordPress » Creating an alternative Spanish template

  • Hi

I’m fairly new to WP and have been trawling round various sites for help without luck. If anyone could give me a quick pointer, that’d be great.

I’ve built a site: ten pages in English and ten in Spanish. All I want to do is have the ability to apply a template with the language defined as Spanish in the head of the document. I’ve previously only worked directly with HTML, so not yet au fait with PHP.

    Thanks very much in advance

    Jez

  • I’d suggest to put a google translate plugin. It’ll be much easier.

Thanks. As it’s so small, and the English/Spanish content is not always identical, a translator wouldn’t work. The site is for an academic author, so it needs to be spot on. Is it comlpicated to dulicat my page template but with lan attribute in the head?

    Cheers

    Jez

Sorry – that should read ‘duplicate’.
