# Creating a header for wordpress

 * Im trying to create a website like [kickstarter.com](http://www.kickstarter.com)
   but i am having problems with the header, i cant get it to look anything like
   the one they have. After viewing the source i copied the html codes for the header
   and tried plugging them into the wordpress header.php but no success at all. 
   It came out looking like crap.
 * I initally wanted to copy their exact template but i have little knowledge on
   that, everytime i tried it comes out all misconfigured.

 * **Every site design is copyright**, even if it’s not noted officially by the 
   site. Copying a design like that is the same as stealing content or stealing 
   images. Unless you have the owners concent, you are stealing their work.
 * On top of that, why do you want your site to look exactly like theirs? That’s
   just stupid. It’s your site, so make it look like yours, not theirs. Taking some
   ideas and elements is alright, but a complete copy is not to be done under any
   circumstance.

 * Yes it is.
 * No i dont want it too look exactly like their site but i did want to use it as
   a base template and make some changes to it. I just wanted to use some base elements
   mainly their header.

 * your question is primarily a html/css question (the example site is not even 
   based on WordPress), and therefore better asked in any other forum than this 
   one.
 * besides: ‘having problems with the header, i cant get it to look anything like
   the one they have’ is not a basis to build any suggestions on.
