Creating a full page width static page (not up front)

  • I would like to have a blog as my front page and at least 2 full page width static pages on my site. When I create a new page I have no choice as to what template file to use. I can only create a post page with a sidebar. How can I use a different page template for my static pages?

    Hi lyg3,
This theme doesn’t include any custom page templates. It’d be pretty simple to add some in a child theme, though—by duplicating page.php and naming the template at the top, and deleting the call to the sidebar in the file. Might be a bit more, adjusting CSS to make the main content full-width.
