    Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to add a rather straight forward (in theory) front-end user search. Ideally, I need a way to place a search form somewhere on the front-end and search for a users profile by their user ID number only…not their username, or anything else. Just type in a users ID number and have it display their profile upon form submission.

I have spent days looking for even a clue to a solution and all I get is people asking a similar question about front-end user searches with no answers, solutions for back-end user searches, or I find a plugin that’s not even close to what I need.

Anyone have any idea how to go about this?

  • Amen brother! I’m in the same boat…six months later and no ones replied, eh? Did you ever get it resolved?

I know it’s been a long, long time – but perhaps this will shed some light on the problem for future searchers – User search
