Creating a Fixed Menu Height

  • Okay this is what I would like to have for my menu. I don’t want the menu to grow as the list inside them grow. Instead what I would like is a scroll bar within the menu. Hope that make sense.
Basically I want a fixed height for the menu, then as the link list grows it will have a scroll bar.
Does anyone have an idea of how to do this.

    Thank you,
    Cathie

  • You could use something like an iframe, but those are pretty ugly…you can also look at setting boundaries for text display in a DIV using CSS and then some combination of DHTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript to create a customized scrollbar as well. I don’t have any good links to hints on that, though. Good luck!
