• Forgive me for being a complete novice with this…

I created the child theme and it seems that it is okay; however, I now cannot change my header or background color. What am I doing wrong? There are no error messages. It lets me upload my picture, I even do the “crop and publish”. It acts like it has changed and even has the “visit your site” to see how it looks. I click on it and there are no changes.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Mandy

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I just tried that and got the same result. I am sure it is some silly error that I am making. I just have no clue what it could be.

    Thank you again,

I think I am going to try a different theme. I just cannot figure this out. I really liked the Graphene one; however, I just don’t know enough to fix the problem…

so you created a child theme for Graphene?

I wonder if there is some sort of conflict on where the theme is looking for the image…. child vs parent

I think that there must be. Unfortunately, I don’t know the first thing about how to fix it. I did find another theme that will work though. The 2010 Weaver looks like it allows a lot of customizations without even having to create a child theme.

2010 weaver will work better as that is a child theme of twenty ten theme ad has lots of theme templates already installed.

Thanks! I can’t believe I didn’t find it sooner! It is working great.
