Created a wordpress.com website but not showing up correctly under new domain

    I am not sure which version of WordPress I have. Tried finding it but can’t find version. I just started July 8th if this helps. Where may I find the version for future?
    Created website on wordpress.com
    I then bought a domain http://www.bellydancepa.net
    From there bought web hosting on Godaddy.
    I was recommended by majority of other dancers wordpress for website creation and Godaddy for web hosting. Really enjoy wordpress for website creation. Now if I can only have it show up with new domain for World wide web to view!
    Have been in contact with tech support for 2 weeks with both sites, WordPress and Godaddy.
    Bought thru WordPress the upgrade to point wordpress to new domain.
    After numerous tech support, I am still not seeing my web site come up correctly under new domain.
    It comes up like I am just starting a new wordpress website see:
    http://www.bellydancepa.net instead of how it should look, see:
    http://www.kitarabellydance.wordpress.com.
    I do have under wordpress dashboard -> Domain
    http://www.bellydancepa.net selected.
    I am banging my head against the desk, so frustrated! Thanks for any help you can give.

    I’m not sure what the problem is. WordPress appears to be running correctly on your new domain and all you need now is to choose your new theme and start adding content.

    Are you looking for ways to import content from your old wordpress.com site?

    Hi, Thanks for response. I had already created wordpress website 1st. then setup domain. Then setup web hosting thru Godaddy. From there setup under WordPress dashboard new domain and had that selected.
    If you look at new domain though http://www.bellydancepa.net it shows as if I am just starting a new wordpress site without anything done.
    It has been done. I have menus, koi theme, several pages. What happens is when I select under wordpress dashboard domain, http://www.bellydance.net, it goes to that 1 you are seeing.
    Now, if I set back my domain to kitarabellydance.wordpress.com, which I shall do now, take a look at how web site should look.
    Now wordpress is suppose to have it so it’s looks like this but with url showing up as http://www.bellydance.net. Here lies my frustration.
    Try looking at http://www.kitarabellydance.wordpress.com now with me having domain set to above address. You will see completed website.
    I would screen capture and past but not sure if can do that on forum vs. email. Thanks!

    You need to install your theme on your new site and transfer all of your content to your new site.

    That’s just so helpful, not really. As I stated in 1st post been in contach with both WordPress forum and Godaddy tech support numerous times, doing all sorts of instructions that were suppose to have my site up and running by now.
    Your response is quite ambiguous. Not really any help.

    He must have done what you suggested and imported all of the content into the new site, it looks like it’s working to me.

    It was always working – which is where the confusion starts.
