What do you mean by a “photo playlist”? Can you point to an example?

Why not just use a normal gallery or a slider plugin?
for example, if I create a playlist called “January”, I will put in it the photos related to that month.
If instead I use the normal Photo Gallery of WordPress this is not possible.
It would be nice if this function is already native to WordPress without using other plugins
What you want is a slider plugin. There are lots: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/slider
