# Create line break using iPad: How?

 * I noticed that one of the content contributors on our site was having trouble
   getting a simple line break (i.e., without starting a new paragraph which would,
   in effect, add an undesirable blank line). I told her to use Shift-Enter, which
   does the trick on my Ubuntu desktop (running Chrome). But she told me that she
   uses an iPad and Shift-Enter doesn’t work. I’ve done some searching and see that
   many people run into this problem with the iPad (especially on FaceBook). So,
   how does one get just a line break when editing content via an iPad?

 * Are you using WordPress IOS app? It should be easily possible if instead you 
   use chrome or safari, and then the text editor, not the visual editor.
