Create 'gift list''

Very new to wordpress. Want to create a dynamic list. Although I plan to use it in different ways, the best way to think of it is as a ‘gift list’ for a friend to view. A user can upload his desired gift in one text field in a second text field provide an optional link (on Amazon, or wherever). The complete list is then posted to their page where those items with a link would be clickable.

It doesn’t sound that hard, but I could be wrong. I would like to know how it is done, even if there is a plugin available.
