  • What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    Truly Minimal from FlareThemes

As your theme is only available via wordpress.com, you will need to wait for one of their support people to deal with your questions. To that end, I’ve have tagged this topic for their attention and, hopefully, someone will be along shortly.

Hi there, it doesn’t actually look like that theme comes from WordPress.com, since the stylesheet shows FlareThemes as the author:

    Theme Name: Truly Minimal Child
    Author: FlareThemes
    Author URI: http://www.flarethemes.com

That said, I can still try to help. 🙂

Do I need to create a new template (and if so what do I need to do) or is there a simple formatting css trick that I can make the box stretch across the page and move the content/sidebar underneath.

I think you’re probably on the right track with creating a new template, unless the theme already comes with a full-width template, in which case you could set your front page as a static page and apply the full-width template to your homepage.

Here’s a tutorial on how to create a custom template:

Let me know how you make out.

    The theme is from flarethemes.com

It does have a full-width template already.

My issue is that I want the Magic action box at the top (going across the entire width of the page)

I then want underneath the current homepage Welcom information, photo, text and then the sidebar on the right.
