I am trying to create a codex account. I already have a login for support.

When I login to codex where it says login/ CREATE ACCOUNT (wtf, why does it say that when there is no option to create an account?) I can't do anything.

How do I create an account for codex and more importantly, why is this not option not on the page that says login/create account?

Your same account as here should work to login to the Codex.

It doesn't work. I am logged in here. I go to the Documentation (codex) page and I want to access Codex tools. The only link for codex tools says "login."

I log in, enter my information and it says incorrect password even though it's the same password I used to log in for leaving this comment.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies or tried another browser?

Are you able to go to http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page , click codex tools login in the top right corner and login?

Any idea why my login info is not working?

    It works here. https://wordpress.org/support/bb-login.php
It does not work here. http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Additionally, the fact that while logged into https://wordpress.org/support/bb-login.php and then clicking on
http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page requests for me to login
would seem to imply there are two different sets of login information.

If this assumption is indeed wrong, what should I do to log in to the codex tools?

would seem to imply there are two different sets of login information

For historical & technical reasons, the logins are separate but the same login details will work in both.

Thank you esmi, but I am having no luck. Should I PM my login info to you?

You cannot PM on these forums.

Are you sure that you are using exactly the same username and password (with the correct casing) on the Codex as you use here?

Yes. Copy and paste. Manual Entry. Neither work.

    Issue Resolved.

    Problem:
I initially registered on the support forum. An email was sent to me with a password. (Note that the email includes my username and password but I have hidden it for this post.) The email says:
    Your username is: ************
    Your password is: ************
You can now log in: http://wordpress.org/support/

The email does not say the password is temporary or that I need to change it. I tried several times to log in to the codex with the provided username and password and each time failed. Trying different browsers, computers, clearing cache, copy and pasting the info, did not work.

    Solution:
I clicked on my profile information and changed the password to a new password that I chose.

Now I am able to log in to the codex.
