create a network from single site, installed in subfolder, wo loosing permalinks

    hi,
    after searching this forum and the web for hours without finding an answer i hope to find help here:

    i’d like to create a multisite from my existing blog (in order to multilingualize it).
    the blog has been written for years and i definitely don’t want to break the thousands of existing permalinks!
    wordpress installation is in a subfolder, i. e. blog url and wp url differ.
    ideally i’d like to use subdomains for the new blogs.

    is there a chance to create a multisite from my blog without losing the permalinks?
