Support » Plugin: Pods - Custom Content Types and Fields » Create 800 customer post type pages

  • Resolved webdeepak

I have 800+ items in my for which I need to create pages for a custom pod type that I have created. Is it possible to create them in bulk?
Import from CSV etc, creating them one by one would be impossible.

I have a similar question. I am trying to create a searchable database for a waitlist, and it seems like a custom post type is the best way to do this. But, I need to import the list from a CSV file and be able to bulk delete too.

    Hi there

I had similar questioning and finally I have invested in the plugin WP all import pro which permitted me to import csv in pods I created.
This is the only import plugin I found working with Pods.
The import is not very straightforward as you have to do a mapping between your csv fields/columns and the pod fields but works well once the mapping is done (you can save the mapping as well to not have to redo each time).

    Thanks @bkantique,
Would you be able to share the mappings and the link to the plugin.

I can’t share the mapping as it will depends of your pods fields and your csv file columns/fields.

During the process of importing the data you will be asked to do the mapping between the csv source file and the destination pod fields.

The plugin can be find there

Correct, Pods doesn’t offer importing at this moment. Plugins like WP All Import would be your best option.

I went on the Slack support channel yesterday and asked the question.
Did get told that the WordPress internal import can handle this. I’m not sure how but will investigate and update here.

Also got told that the free version of these plugins can carry out the import, I’ve looked at the descriptions to “Import Custom Post Type” you would need a license. Will check and report back.

Also fell into a rabbit hole with the data structure of WordPress and Pods for the first time. post and podsrel seem to be the table of interest. Not sure I have the time to do the detail investigation here.
