Crayon Syntax Highlighter

    I am looking for a good syntax highlighter. The Crayon Syntax highlighter seems to work fine when I input it but if I come back and make any changes to the text, staying away from the highlighter text, it stll adds all kinds of strange

     tags all over the place and screws up all the formatting of the Crayon highlighted text.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this, it is driving me nuts.  I have redone the same article, over 3000 words 4 times now.
