Crashing (7 posts)

As of about 4 minutes ago, WordPress 2.5 is just crashing after every action.

I've tried deleting, saving, moderating comments and all acre resulting in a crash.

Some actions are being performed (prior to the crash, I imagine), while others aren't.

Nothing's been changed on the server and this wasn't happening yesterday.

    Any ideas?

  2. What do you mean by "crashing"?

Wow, I thought this would be of interest to some of the developers...

  6. You never really posted enough information for it to be interesting to a developer. Why does it get the white screen? What have you tried to debug the problem? What's in the error logs?

Anything can cause a "white screen". That doesn't mean there's a WordPress problem, it most likely means that there's a problem with your server, or your theme, or your upgrade process, or any of half a dozen other things.

The very limited number of people who help out on these forums tend to answer questions that can be solved quickly. A lot of people post a lot of things here, and most of them are easy ones. When a hard one comes up without any useful information, it's unlikely to get a response. They also don't generally answer immediately or in less than a day or two.

Also, developers don't generally read these forums. They're too busy developing.

As I clearly explained, the white screen is appearing whenever I perform any action, such as a delete, save or an edit.

As a PHP developer, I'm not in the habit of issuing uninformative warnings about application performance.

If I didn't know for certain it was WordPress causing the problems for itself, I wouldn't be posting her, would I?

As for developers being too busy, you're talking to one — I'm never to busy to listen to people tell me there's a problem with my applications, should there be any at all.

So I'd prefer you didn't make such nonsense excuses, especially if you're not a developer...
