After deactivating yoast, we got the site to work. But trying to re-activate it exceeds our memory. We will be looking for another plugin for our SEO needs. This is now the second time I’ve had to disable yoast due to the problems I’m encountering.

    Hello,

We are sorry the Yoast SEO causes your large site to crash. Can you please confirm that your website meets the plugin requirements? For more information on all of the plugin requirements, you can refer to this article — https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/.
