Hi @yurbshop21
Thanks for letting us know about this. The first thing I noticed was that your Jetpack connection is very slow, which could be causing timeouts when attempting to open an order.
Also, your Cron size was pretty large as well. The issue is likely being caused by how Jetpack uses the WordPress cron system. Can you reach out to your host to have them check to see if cron is enabled and working correctly on your site?
Could you also check your site’s wp-config.php file, and let me know if cron is currently disabled? If it is disabled, you’ll see this bit of code somewhere in that file:
define( 'DISABLE_WP_CRON', true );
Please remove this if it’s present.
Another thing you might try is installing this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/
… which should let you see if there’s anything wrong with your site’s cron system.

Thanks @bruceallen I have installed the plugin recommended, but showing error in some actions. Meanwhile other causes outlined above are not the case. How do I fix this?
Hi @yurbshop21
Since you see errors on the WP-Cron system, I’d highly suggest reaching out to your hosting provider as they can investigate this more thoroughly and make any changes or adjustments to sort this out.
Let us know how this goes.

Thanks @muffinpeace @bruceallen for your assistance!
On contacting my hosting, it’s said cron is not set for my site. How possible is this and do I go about fixing this?
Hi @yurbshop21 –
When testing the Jetpack connection to your site, we are noticing that it is responding very slowly. These slow response times may cause issues with Jetpack.
We’re getting the error:
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
Additionally, our requests are timing out occasionally:
HTTP/2 503
cache-control: private, no-cache, no-store, must-revalidate, max-age=0
pragma: no-cache
content-type: text/html
content-length: 719
date: Thu, 18 Aug 2022 14:57:20 GMT
server: LiteSpeed
vary: User-Agent
alt-svc: h3=":443"; ma=2592000, h3-29=":443"; ma=2592000, h3-Q050=":443"; ma=2592000, h3-Q046=":443"; ma=2592000, h3-Q043=":443"; ma=2592000, quic=":443"; ma=2592000; v="43,46"
Typically this error happens when your web server is overloaded and is exceeding its allotted resources. I recommend asking your hosting provider to look into these 503 errors and see if there is anything they can do to help you resolve them.
Additionally, I tested using a performance measuring tool called GTmetrix.com and I was unable to successfully complete a test, which generally indicates an underlying server issue.
I hope that is helpful.

Thanks, I’ll act accordingly
That sounds like a plan.
No need to reply until you’ve heard back from your host, but once you do, please let us know the results and we can help from there if need be. Thanks!
