Hi, When I try and activate the latest Business Directory Plugin on wordpress 3.9.1 installed on IIS it crashes the admin area. I had no problems on wordpress 3.8.1 site. Also tried with all plugins deactivated.

Errors below when you try and load the admin area. Seems to just be menu-header.php that is the issue.

PHP Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. As requested I have sent through FTP and wordpress admin area credentials. Thankyou for fixing the issue. Let me know if I can do anything.

    Hi Robert,

OK, I think I've linked up the thread + email now. I'll keep the conversation there to avoid further confusion.

Just for anyone else seeing this thread:

I believe the error is something that you'll need to resolve with your web hosting company. The error appears to be this exact one here:

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1846882/open-basedir-restriction-in-effect-file-is-not-within-the-allowed-paths

You'll need to configure the open_basedir settings in your php.ini (see more on that here: http://php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php#ini.open-basedir) to provide access to your script directories within WordPress. I believe that's the issue.

Thanks for the information. I found a "open_basedir" setting in Plesk under "PHP settings" and removed the \ from the end of the directory and it worked.
