CPT not available as option to add to WordPress Menu after update

    Recently I updated the plugin. Ever since that I have not been able to add custom post types to the WordPress menu. Just a day ago before the update I could.

    Something to note:
    When I create the CPT with the older plugin then it is available to add to the menu, even after updating the plugin. But if I create a new CPT with the upgraded plugin then it does not display.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Ok, I might be wrong. It seems as though the issue is with different hosted sites. Although the same version, the one version seems to “hide” the CPT from the menu options by default but can be made visible via the “Screen Options”.

    I have no idea why, but I am fine with this.

    Sounds like things are working as expected? just one site had the post type screen option hidden and the other one didn’t?

    Yes, there seemed to be an inconsistency between the websites. The first one automatically showed the CPT and the second one automatically hide the CPT.

    Just another thing I want to check though, does the “Read more” tag work with CPT? I am battling to get the “Read more” feature working. When I display the content and apply filters, the <!–more–> tag is still in the HTML and all the content is displayed.

    Is this potentially a CPT UI issue or am I just missing something?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    The “Read More” stuff won’t be anything that we handle. With Custom Post Type UI, we essentially just handle the registration. Beyond that is up to you and WordPress core to handle.
