CPanel Installation Warning Query (6 posts)

    Hello Friends.

Could someone offer an insight to me regarding the WP, (WordPress) install using Panel?
I am a current user and have two, (used to have 3 actually), instances of individual ‘complete’ installs of WP on my server.
I removed one a while back.
I just attempted to install what would be my third -(new project build).

    On Step 2 of 3:

    I got the following prompt:

    Install WordPress (2/3)

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'ibrand'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.1360585144.9576tHre9fSdO_ on line 1618
Access denied for user 'ibrand'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

*I do not recall having seen this in the past on my other installs.
Is there a reason for concern, or is it safe to proceed?

Many thanks in advance for any insights or advice you can offer.

Something is incorrect within your database access details. Try asking your hosts to doublecheck them for you.

    Hi Esmi,

    How are you?
I was wondering about that you know; then I thought of something else.

Could the new instal process be requiring my CPanel login, or would a new database need to be created first. Then create a new instance of WP?

    Any thoughts?

    No.

would a new database need to be created first

If you are installing WordPress manually, then you would not only need to create a new database but also a new database user with full access privileges.

    I agree on both accounts.

Its always good to ask for advice though in case I have missed somehting or somehting has changed.
    Many thanks Esmi.
    I will contact my ISP.

Post up what I learn once resolved. Might help others!

    Thanks again!
