 * Hi,
 * Recently I installed wordpress.org. I used “FileZilla” to upload my files to
   the server as a zip file. Now I’m trying to figure out how to unpack the zip
   file. I understood that I need to use “cpanel” but it seems that the cpanel cost
   pretty much a lot. Is this the only option? Or there is a free options that I
   can use?

 * If your host doesn’t have cPanel, it should have something similar (Plesk or
   so) that should have the same functionality. Alternatively you can unpack zip
   file on your hard drive and upload unpacked files and folders to your hosting(
   all of them!).
    You should also check whether your hosting offers automatic WordPress
   installation through Softaculous or something similar.

 * I tried to upload the files unpacked but a lot of files fall off through transferring
   by filezilla. I asked here what to do and I was told to upload the files as a
   zip file and to unpack it on cpanel.
    For example, I’m using 000webhost free
   hosting to understand everything before I’m buying my own domain. They say in
   their website they use cpanel, so my question is how do I get access to the cpanel?
   Is it through phpadmin?

 * When you login to your 000webhost account you should get this:
 * ![](https://i0.wp.com/i67.tinypic.com/14kbs7q.png)
 * From there you see “File manager” on top and you see “Manage website” towards
   bottom. If you click on that, one of the options will be to install WordPress
   automatically.

 * Got it, thank you very much. one last thing – I heard a lot of people talking
   about cpanel that looks like this:
    ⌊screenshot of cpanel⌉ I’ve heard you can
   manage your website and your database from there. can I have an access to this
   menu through 000webhost or they got their own interface? and if I’m buying a
   domain, do I have to make sure I’m getting cpanel too? and they will guide me
   how to get to this cpanel menu like in the image above?

 * Well, cPanel is kind of a “standard” panel when it comes to shared hosting. Once
   you learn to manage things through it, no matter what host you chose provided
   that it has cPanel, you’ll know what to do.
    000webhost used to have it but after
   the hacking incident they’ve changed it to its own version. I don’t think they
   offer classic cPanel even for paid hosting. Check with them. Bluehost has its
   own, GoDaddy own version as well, as far as I know. Personally, that approach
   is like reinventing a wheel, and I tend to stay out of such hosts.
