Course Builder won’t launch

    Hi,
    I just updated to 3.13.0 and can’t get the new Course Builder to launch. The loading icon just spins on and on.

    @stjennifer,

    More than likely your browser has cached JS assets that are preventing the most recent JS from loading (which powers the builder).

    Can you clear your browser cache and try again please!

    Hi,

    I am having the same problem —Course Builder will not load (the icon just spins) I have cleared my browser cache (All Time) and the Course Builder still will not load.

    @donowilson,

    Most builder issues are the result of conflicts in other plugins outputting HTML in AJAX calls.

    Can you open your JS console (step 3 here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors)

    And see if there’s any output on the console pointing to this?

    You can try disabling all plugins other than LifterLMS as well to see if that fixes the issue.

    Finally, I discovered an issue that may cause the builder to fail. Prerequisites are not properly removed from a lesson’s reference to them if you *delete* (or move to trash) a lesson which is the prerequisite of another lesson. If you’ve done this it could cause the builder to fail due to an incorrect prerequesite check here. You can check your lessons to make sure this isn’t the case. If it is, simply remove the prerequisite from the lesson and it’ll fix the builder issue.

    Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I can’t see Course Builder, which is kind of a problem.

    I am still having the same problem (not able to edit) the course builder —with or without the use of prerequisites. I tested the course builder by starting from the ground up with a fresh installation, 1 course and a total of 8 lessons —without the use of prerequisites —and the course builder unfortunately broke. I started with 4 lessons, added two, and then two more and kaboom!

    So, for my next act, I will attempt the same test, while also disabling all plugins except lifterlms and the following integrations: bbpress, buddy press and lifterlabs. I will let you know what happens.

    @donowilson,

    Sorry you’re still having issues here… please let me know if you can find the plugin conflict so I can try to recreate and resolve.
