When creating a coupon with a BOGO gift where I have set 1 piece, it will add all the pieces I have in stock to my cart, not just one. I have no idea what could have happened

    Hi @rhorny,

    Greetings from WebToffee Support!

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue you’re experiencing with the BOGO coupon you have created. We understand the frustration this may have caused, and we’re here to assist you in resolving it.

The behavior you’ve described, where the coupon adds all available quantities of the free product to the cart instead of just one, is indeed unusual. To help us better understand and address the issue, please provide the following information:

    1. Screenshots of the coupon edit page of the BOGO coupon you have created. Make sure to include screenshots of all tabs of the coupon edit page.
    2. Screenshots of the product edit page of the free product.
    3. WooCommerce System Status report. You can access this report in WooCommerce by navigating to WooCommerce -> Status -> Get system status report. This will provide details about your site environment and configurations.
    4. Your site URL and corresponding coupon code for us to investigate the issue further on your site.

Additionally, if you have any privacy concerns, you may share the required information through this link.

As a troubleshooting step, could you please temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and Smart Coupon for WooCommerce plugin and check if the behavior you have experienced still persists?

Once we have these pieces of information, we’ll be better equipped to diagnose the problem and provide you with a solution. Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to assisting you further.

if you want, I can give you access to the site, because in such a state I cannot run it publicly. If so, where can I send you the login data?

    Hi @rhorny,

Thank you for getting back to us and providing the necessary information. We appreciate your cooperation.

After reviewing the information you provided, it appears that the issue you’re experiencing is caused by a conflict with the Points and Rewards for WooCommerce plugin. We attempted to replicate the issue on our end with the mentioned plugin, but unfortunately, we were unsuccessful, even after trying various configurations.

To further troubleshoot the issue and understand how the plugin is configured on your site, could you please provide us with screenshots of the configurations you have set up in the Points and Rewards for WooCommerce plugin? You may share the screenshots through this link.

Once we have the requested information, we’ll continue our investigation. Looking forward to resolving this for you.

It all started after updating to v2.2.0. Now I tried turning off Gamification and it didn’t help, I also turned off Badges and it didn’t help 🙁

    Hi @rhorny,

Thank you for getting back to us and providing the video illustrating the configuration you have set up in the Points and Rewards for WooCommerce plugin. We were able to replicate the same issue you experienced on our end with the provided information.

Upon further investigation, we identified that the issue was caused because our plugin adds some cart item data to identify giveaway products. However, the Points and Rewards for WooCommerce plugin is removing this cart item data, causing the giveaway products to be added to the cart multiple times.

To rectify this issue, kindly add the code snippet from here and paste it into your active theme’s functions.php file (WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Editor > functions.php), or you can use a Code Snippet plugin to do that for you.

Once you have added the code snippet, please let us know if the issue is now resolved.

    Looking forward to your response.

If you encounter any further issues or have any questions in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to help.

Additionally, if I may ask, if you’re satisfied with the Smart Coupons For WooCommerce plugin and the support you’ve received, we would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to leave us a review here.

Your positive feedback motivates our team and helps us continually improve.

    Thanks in advance!
