Coupon Limit not working when applied simultaneously

    We create a coupon with “Usage Limit Per Coupon” as 1. But suppose when 2 different users apply that same coupon at exact same time then it gets applied to both the different users thus making a mess of “Usage Limit Per Coupon”.

    Hi there,

    There are a few things to note:

    • The chances of customers checking out at exactly the same time, with exactly the same coupon are quite remote.
    • The usage count doesn’t come into play on the cart page; While 100 people can use the same coupon code on the cart page, the order will only proceed for the first one to actually check out successfully 🙂. The other 99 will all get an error on the checkout page to say the coupon code is no longer valid.
