Coupon codes not applying

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I have recently encountered a problem on our site http://www.puraperform.com that refuses to allow customers to apply discount codes – instead giving the error message “Please enter a coupon code.” as if no code had been entered.

    This same problem also occurs with a plugin that allows coupons to be added automatically (I have disabled the plugin to see if it was the cause of the problem but it was not)

    Have you tried if that plugin disabled?

    I have disabled that plugin but the coupons still do not work

    It is worth knowing that the coupons were working, both the original woocommerce alone and also with the YITH plugin that allows coupons to be added automatically.

    Any ideas?

    Would it be an AJAX problem? It seems that the submit call is recognising that I have typed a valid coupon code in the box?

    I have gone through everything that might affect the cart page and reset it all to the latest versions of the php files, as well as deleting all code that could affect the cart in the functions.php file.

    Would it be an AJAX problem? It seems that the submit call is recognising that I have typed a valid coupon code in the box?

    If you have a custom template for the cart in your theme, may have missing classes or IDs for the AJAX call…
    Check if works with a different theme like a WordPress default theme or Storefront.

    Hi Claudio,
    Thank you for the suggestion – I changed the theme to storefront and we are still getting the same problem.

    I meant to say in my last post the the submit call is NOT recognising I have typed anything in the box…

    Any other suggestions?

    Ok Claudio – it’s all working again now – I bit the bullet and deactivated all of the plugins and reactivated them one by one.

    None of them seemed to cause an issue once reactivated…

    I had this issue as well, followed these steps and found out that YITH WooCommerce Gift Cards was causing the problem, so I removed it. Hope it helps someone else 🙂
