Certain coupon amount + cart total combinations don’t work

coupons with 15% and 16% doesn’t seem to work on cart totals of $48. if you remove the coupon it works fine, if you use the same coupon but a different cart total it’s fine. Somehow the %15 and %16 coupons don’t work with the cart total $48.

    Hi @intoybakz,

It’s hard to imagine how the coupon could suddenly cause shipping options to disappear. Do these coupons perhaps trigger a Free Shipping option? Is Free Shipping missing as a shipping method?

Free shipping is not enabled, currently using Flexible shipping and using Price Min/Max for shipping cost

    Hi there,

Could it be that your min/max price uses $48 as a cut-off? I’m not familiar with the Flexible Shipping plugin, but you might disable that temporarily and see if it resolves the issue and/or post a question in their forum.

my shipping table prices ranges are:

    1 – 25
    26 – 40
    41 – 74.99
    75 above

    with their respective shipping prices.

i tried using another table rate shipping plugin seems to be doing the same.. the coupon are working but just on specific prices.

20% coupons are working fine on the prices

but when i set up 15% or 16% it still works but not on certain cart totals like $48

you can test out the cart by using the coupons on a $48 cart total

    test1 – 15%
    test16 – 16%
    test19 – 10%
    linda19 – 20%

    Hi there,

Thanks for the examples. I think the best suggestion I can give you at this point is to put in a support ticket with the shipping plugin you’re using to create these tiered amounts since this isn’t core WooCommerce that’s causing this.

i’ve tried 2 plugins and both did the same thing. So both of them have the same problem?

    Hi there,

I tried to replicate the issue you’re having on a test site by creating a coupon that discounts the cart by 15%. I added items that total $48 with a 15% discount coupon and it reduces the total correctly by $7.20 and offers shipping rates. I’m not able to replicate the issue using core WooCommerce shipping methods.

What happens if you enable a simple Flat Rate shipping method for testing? Does that method show up if you use a 15% coupon? If the core WooCommerce coupon and shipping methods work as expected, then you need to do some conflict testing to determine what may be causing the issue. You can work through the following steps to do this: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4

thank you for your insight. it really was a plugin issue, we’re looking for other options for the shipping.

    thank you very much
