I ran into a couple of problems when editing my gallery:

    1) I created a gallery with the free version to try things out. I then upgraded to Pro. When I started working on my gallery again, it wouldn’t let me add a 20th image to it (I assume the limit for the free version). I got around it by duplicating the gallery and then working on the new one, which lets me add additional images.

    2) When adding to the gallery from the “Add from Library” page, the column on the right has fields for the title, caption, etc. I added some images from that page, filling in both the title and caption in the right-hand column. But after going back to the main gallery page, I found that my new title was there, but the caption had been overwritten by the title text! So I had to edit each one again and fix the captions.

  • Hello @rochrunner,

Thank you for reaching out to us!
    1. This might’ve been just caching.
    2. This most likely happened because your default caption and default title were not set up correctly.
If you don’t want that happening again, when you create a gallery (before adding images) > go to Captions > and set the Default title to WP Image Title and the Default caption to WP Image caption, like so: https://gyazo.com/4fbef185e71ae1ce5b6d322e4370a159
This way it will populate them correctly and no longer overwrite them.
    Hope this makes sense!

    All the best,
    Mihaela
