Couple of Customisation questions (Rockford)

    @mvitti185

    I am using the Rockford theme for my blog and I have a few customisation questions (as the creators don’t offer support I wanted to ask some experts on this forum if they can help)

    Here is an example of a blog post http://www.thenomadiclondoner.com/2014/03/01/brighton/

    I basically want to move the sidebar to the left of the post (underneath the tags). How do I go about doing this?

    Also I would then want to increase the width for the body of text and header picture. How would I do this?

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Hey mvitti185,

    Generally there will be different page templates for showing sidebar on right and left. If this theme does not provide such template then you can create a child theme and include this css snippet in your style.css

    #container .single .thb-container.bottom .inner-wrapper {
       float: right;
    }

    Hi souravb,

    Thank you for your response.

    Which php. file does the template for sidebars tend to be? I currently am using a child theme. Should I alter the template of the parent theme or will adding the above to the style.css override the parent theme anyway?

    If there is already a template, you will be able to change it from the page editing screen in dashboard. Or if there is no template add the css in your child theme’s style.css.

    Regards
    sourav b

    I havn’t use this theme, but these are the possible ways of rearranging the siderbar on the right side.
