Country only showing part of the time

    Greetings,

    The combo of this plugin and the Contact Form 7 Lead info with country plugin is perfect for my site, but I can only get the country to show in the form email about 50% of the time. The IP address shows every time, so I end up just manually searching it, but ideally I would love to skip that step. Are there any tips or tricks for getting the country to show in the form data more consistently?

    Hi Chris,

    did you try putting the IP address in the manual Lookup form (under Tools)? If the countries do not show up there as well, your only possibility is to evaluate other data sources. Which source are you currently using?

    Thanks Benjamin. I switched my data source from HostIP.info to Maxmind GeoIP2 Lite and its been working like a champ. If I have any other issues I will try putting the IP address in the manual Lookup form. 🙂

    Well, I had to put hostip.info as default to comply with the guidelines of this Plugin Repository (GPL only). The Maxmind sources are more complete, yes.
