# Counting links doesn’t work

 * Hi,
 * I’d like to use the “count text links” feature, but it just doesn’t do anything.
   I click on the “count links” button, the popup opens… but nothing happens. What’s
   the problem?

 * That sounds like a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information
   for us as possible? Please perform the following:
 * 1. Check for conflicts.
    2. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

 * It’s so often the easiest solution (…sorry):
    I disabled all plugins (except 
   for Yoast SEO of course). The link counter worked perfectly (and way quicker 
   than I expected). I got the error that the plugin wasn’t able to insert the tables
   into my database. So I checked it: they were there. I cleared my cache, waited
   for like 20–30 minutes and – tadaaa – the error was gone.
