# Couldn't resolve host 'jetpack.wordpress.com'

 * I too am having the same problem. Started 24hrs ago:
 * Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually
   means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
 * Couldn’t resolve host ‘jetpack.wordpress.com’

 * Have you tried the troubleshooting tips found here?

 * Also, I noticed that you have W3 Total Cache active on your site. There are known
   conflicts with that plugin; I’d try deactivating that one first, to see if that’s
   the source of the issue.
 * If you can’t resolve it using the troubleshooting tips, can you please try installing
   the Jetpack Compatibility Plugin so we can see some additional information from
   your site?
 * 1) Download the plugin from [http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/jetpack/branches/jetpack-compatibility-test.zip](http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/jetpack/branches/jetpack-compatibility-test.zip)
   
   2) Upload the plugin to your site via Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New. 3) Activate
   the plugin and go to Plugins -> Jetpack Compatibility Test. 4) Click the “Select
   All” button. 5) Send the results of the test back in to [support@jetpack.me](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/couldnt-resolve-host-jetpackwordpresscom-1/support@jetpack.me?output_format=md),
   and please include a link to this forum thread.

 * Oddly enough it has suddenly allowed me to reconnect. Interestingly enough I 
   also opened a ticket with my Hosting Provider.
 * I will disable the W3 Total Cache.
