# Couldn't install

 * I got the following error when trying to install this plug-in.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STATIC, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE
   or ‘$’ in /home6/wpawlows/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tsu/class-singleton.

 * This is due to the minimum required version of PHP, which is 5.3.
    Update your
   installation or request your provider to change to a newer version.
 * P.S. Searching the other support threads first really helps, as this issue was
   already discussed [here](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/parse-error-293).
