    Hi,

I want to transfer some products from one website, blog.wealthsuccess.edu.vn to another one, advanmart.com using CSV files, but it didn’t work.

First, I export products on the site, blog.wealthsucccess.edu.vn to a CSV file. Then I tried to import it on advanmart.com. But I got one error “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons”

Please check the images from the links below:

What should I do? Please help.

    BR,

    Kien

    Hi there Kien,

By default, WooCommerce allows the same file type uploads as core WordPress. In the past, there was an issue where CSV files were being blocked as a restricted filetype, however that was fixed and should be working in the latest versions of WordPress and WooCommerce.

Please make sure you are updated to the latest versions, then test again to see if you can import the products.

If you are still having issues, then you can add extra file types (and explicitly set CSV files as allowed) using a plugin like this one:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-add-mime-types/

Alternatively, you can temporarily disable the file type check using a plugin like this:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/

After you have imported the products, I would recommend deactivating that last plugin though, to ensure people are unable to upload dangerous file types.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

    Kind regards,
