 * We have a perplexing situation with our staging version of the website….
 * When one of our admins logs into WP-Admin and attempts to switch to another user
they receive the message “Could not switch users”
 * When I login to WP-Admin and attempt to switch users, everything works fine.
 * The other admin can log into the live version of the site and switch users without
   issue.
 * Both sites are using the same version of the “User Switch” plugin and both sites
   are using WordPress 5.9.2
 * Working on the assumption that this is a caching / cookie issue, we have tried
   the following:
    - The other admin logged out, closed their browser and rebooted their computer
before logging back in – Switching does not work
    - I logged in using the other admins credentials on my computer – Switching
      works fine
    - The other admin logged in with my credentials – Switching does not work
    - The other admin logged in on a different computer – Switching does not work
    - The other admin logged in using a private window – Switching works from the
link on a users profile information but not using the link on the user list
 * Any ideas?

 * Did your other admin clear their cookies? Logging out, rebooting, etc doesn’t
necessarily clear all (or in fact, many) of your cookies. I would ask them to
clear their cookies for the domain in question and try again.
 * The only way that switching to a user can really fail is if the user attempting
to make the switch has a problem with their user permissions, and this could
happen if there’s somehow other cookies having an unexpected effect. Also ask
them to disable privacy extensions etc in their browser.

 * While you’re at it you might try deactivating other plugins on your site in case
one is unexpectedly messing with authentication.
