Hey there Pieter,
Hope you’re well today 🙂
Yes the images are stored in the /uploads/bpfb/ folder. Would you mind posting link to your site so I can take a look at the console for errors?
Best regards,

Thanks for your reply.
It is a membership site, so you couldn’t check that I guess?
And also I had to deactivate the plugin to avoid user frustration.
I can see that I have indeed a folder /bpfb with an empty /tmp therein, inside the uploads folder. All are 755.
Does that help in any way?
Kind regards,
Pieter
Hey Pieter,
If the folder is set to 755 it’s possible that something else is causing this.
This could also be a memory issue. Have you tried increasing your PHP memory limits, there was a similar discussion for this here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-working-with-large-image-size?replies=11#post-4177457.
Hope this helps 🙂

Well, been there, done that.
Memory limit is 256M or something and even a very small pic can’t upload.
So I guess it’s something else.
Hmm where to look?
Pieter
Hey again Pieter,
Did you also tried changing in php.ini and/or wp-config.php file as suggested in the thread?
Aside from that you could try testing tor plugin/theme conflicts to see if this is related to a conflict? To do that please try using default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

Hi Bojan,
I tried indeed increasing memory via wp-config.php but that didn’t help.
Now I avoid experimenting too much with the live site, so I tested the plugin on my local setup (MAMP) with the same WP, same theme, and all plugins with the same versions. There it works! That tells me it’s something on the server side. Right?
What could be the next step?
Thanks,
Pieter
Hey again Pieter,
Yes, most likely it is related to your server configuration. You could try to contact your hosting provider with the information (what you’ve tried) so they can possibly take a look as they have access to the server error log.
Can you please let me know of their response.
Best regards,
Bojan

Bojan,
Actually I did not expect it to be the server, so I waited to let it cool down. 😉
Now after some upgrades like BP 2.6 I tried again and it works!
Some things get solved with patience. 🙂
