    when trying to make a refund, the following comment is added to the order:

    “Could not refund Checkout order: Remote ID for parent order not found.”

    The status doesn’t change either, but it seems that PayPal refunds are processed though.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi @benjamink1984! Can you post your system status report? You can find that by going to WooCommerce > Status in your dashboard, then clicking “Get system report,” then “Copy for support.” That will give us a better idea of what might be going on here.



    Same problem. The system inform ‘Remote ID for parent order not found.’ when I try to do the refund. Hopefully this problem will be fixed in the next update

    Hi there, if you have the plugin Facebook for WooCommerce, this is what is causing the issue. I had to disable the plugin to get my refunds to work and have submitted a support query on that plugin page. Hopefully, they will respond soon.

    Am I the only one having so many issues with the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin?

    No problem @benjamink1984. I have also had a few issues with the plugin, but this is the only one have at the moment.

    I deactivated the plugin add refund works fine again. Will keep an eye out for their next update.

    pff i had to find this item earlier.. i did hours of testing and calling payment provider 🙂

    But now no facebook for woocommerce….

    Hi @creativenl,

    Just temporarily deactivate the Facebook for Woocommerce plug-in, process your returns and activate it again.

    Until the plug-in receives an update this is the workaround.

    Damn facebook plugin is a pain in the a**. Never works properly and now messes up refunds!

    Be careful,
    refunds ARE going through, it’s not updating anything to say it’s worked.
    Just checked my PayPal account and can see I’ve refunded a customer twice, which shouldn’t be possible… thanks facebook

    Hey all. @codecoruan is right that this is due to the Facebook plugin. SkyVerge are aware that it’s an issue and are working on a fix as we speak.

    Hi all! The fix for this issue was released in version 2.1.3 of the plugin, so you should be all set now. Please update to the latest version and retest.
